This stuffed French toast recipe is for the sweet breakfast lovers. With a golden and crisp outside and filled with a decadent, rich cream cheese filling, this stuffed French toast is everyone's favorite. Top with fresh fruit, homemade jam or syrup and a dash of powdered sugar for the ultimate breakfast.
In a mixing bowl, combine butter, cream cheese, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and powdered sugar.
Beat together with a mixer until smooth. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Set aside.
Spray a griddle or frying pan with cooking spray and turn to medium heat.
Dip each slice of cinnamon swirl bread front and back in the egg mixture and transfer to hot griddle. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side until each side are slightly golden brown. Remove from heat.
While warm, take two pieces of French toast and spread 2-3 tablespoons of the cream cheese filling in the middle making a sandwich with both pieces of the French toast.
