Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 (3-4 lb.) beef chuck roast
  • 3-4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tsp Tones Beef Base, divided (or Better Than Bouillion)
  • 4 large carrots
  • 6 medium red potatoes

Roast Seasoning

  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions
 

  • Heat 3-4 tablespoons oil in a large frying pan over medium high heat.
  • Place the beef roast in the frying pan and sear all sides until browned.
  • Remove roast from heat and place in slow cooker.
  • In a small bowl or cup, combine 1/4 cup warm water and Tones Beef Base. Mix until well combined and pour over top of roast.
  • In a small bowl, combine kosher salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley and rosemary and mix well.
  • Sprinkle seasonings over roast.
  • Wash and cut potatoes and carrots into large chunks and add to slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours until roast is fork tender.
  • Remove from slow cooker and serve.
  • Enjoy!
