Slow Cooker Beef Chuck Roast
This quick and easy recipe for slow cooker beef chuck roast is the perfect Sunday dinner meal. Slow cooked all day with carrots and potatoes, this roast is fork tender and bursting with rich beef flavor.

(3-4 lb.) beef chuck roast

olive oil
1/4
cup
warm water

tsp
Tones Beef Base, divided
(or Better Than Bouillion)

large carrots
6
medium red potatoes
Roast Seasoning
2
tsp
kosher salt
1
tsp
garlic powder
1
tsp
onion powder
1
tsp
parsley
1
tsp
rosemary
1/2
tsp
pepper
Instructions
Heat 3-4 tablespoons oil in a large frying pan over medium high heat
.
Place the beef roast in the frying pan and
sear all sides until browned
.
Remove roast from heat and
place in slow cooker.
In a small bowl or cup, combine
1/4 cup warm water and Tones Beef Base
. Mix until well combined and
pour over top of roast.
In a small bowl,
combine kosher salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley and rosemary
and mix well.
Sprinkle seasonings over chuck roast.
Wash and
cut potatoes and carrots into large chunks
and add to slow cooker.
Cover and cook on
low for 8-10 hours
until chuck roast is fork tender.
Remove from slow cooker and serve.
