Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef (lean, 90/10)
  • 2 lbs. Southern Style Hashbrowns
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • cup flour
  • 14.5 oz. beef broth
  • 12 oz. frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • cooking oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • In a large skillet, heat a few tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat. Add the potatoes and cook until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • In a separate skillet, combine the ground beef, seasonings, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook over medium heat until the beef is fully browned and cooked through.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low, sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture, and stir until well incorporated.
  • Slowly pour in the beef broth, stirring frequently, and let simmer until a thick gravy forms. Remove from heat.
  • Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Spread half of the crispy potatoes evenly across the bottom.
  • Layer the frozen vegetables over the potatoes, then spoon the beef mixture on top.
  • Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, and finish with the remaining crispy potatoes.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and heated through.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  • Enjoy!
