Sausage Gravy and Biscuits
Sausage gravy and biscuits are a breakfast classic. This hearty sausage gravy recipe is rich and creamy, so delicious, and can be made in less than 10 minutes! It's for sure a family favorite!

1 lb pork sausage 4 tbsp butter 1/4 cup flour 2 cups milk salt and pepper to taste 1 can 8 count refrigerated biscuits *or homemade biscuits
Cook biscuits according to package directions (or use my homemade buttermilk biscuit recipe here .) Add sausage to a medium stockpot and cook . While cooking break into small pieces. Cook until completely cooked through.
When sausage is done, add butter to sausage.
When butter is melted, add in flour and whisk together until flour is well incorporated into the sausage.
Slowly add in the milk, whisking frequently until the gravy begins to thicken and reaches desired consistency.
When the gravy has thickened, remove from heat and salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over top of warm biscuits.
