Honey Glazed Carrots

4 cups carrots, peeled and sliced 2 cups water 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp honey ½ tsp salt pepper (optional)
Peel the carrots and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Add the carrots to a medium saucepan and cover with water . Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 8–10 minutes , or until the carrots are fork-tender.
