Homemade Sloppy Joes

Take your sloppy joes to the next level with this homemade sloppy joe recipe. Done in less than 20 minutes and better than any canned version, these sloppy joes are not only delicious and savory but filled with flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. ground beef (lean, 90/10)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 8 hamburger buns

Instructions
 

  • In a frying pan, add together ground beef and seasonings and cook until completely cooked through.
  • Add in ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and mustard and mix well.
  • Simmer for 3-5 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
  • Cut hamburger buns in half and butter each side then place butter side up on a baking sheet. Place under the broiler on high for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Remove immediately.
  • Spoon sloppy joe mixture onto toasted buns and serve.
  • Enjoy!
