1 lb ground beef lean, 90/10 1/4 cup butter 1 tbsp Italian seasoning 2 tsp minced garlic 1/2 tsp onion powder 1 tsp kosher salt 1/2 tsp pepper 16 oz potato gnocchi pasta 14.5 oz beef broth 1 pint heavy whipping cream 1 1/4 cups parmesan cheese 1/4 cup water 3 tbsp cornstarch 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, optional
In a frying pan, combine ground beef, butter, onion powder, minced garlic, kosher salt, and pepper together.
Break up ground beef and mix in seasonings.
Cook until ground beef is completely cooked through.
Add gnocchi noodles and beef broth to the ground beef. Reduce heat to medium low and cover.
Cook on medium low heat for 3-4 minutes until noodles begin to soften.
When the noodles are soft, remove lid and slowly add heavy whipping cream .
Let cook over medium low heat for 2-3 minutes.
In a separate bowl, mix together 1/4 cup water and 3 tablespoons cornstarch to create a slurry.
Slowly pour the slurry into the alfredo mixture and mix until sauce thickens.
Remove from heat and add in 1 cup of parmesan cheese . Mix well.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup parmesan cheese over the top.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
