Ground Beef Gnocchi Alfredo

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef lean, 90/10
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 16 oz potato gnocchi pasta
  • 14.5 oz beef broth
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, optional

Instructions
 

  • In a frying pan, combine ground beef, butter, onion powder, minced garlic, kosher salt, and pepper together.
  • Break up ground beef and mix in seasonings.
  • Cook until ground beef is completely cooked through.
  • Add gnocchi noodles and beef broth to the ground beef. Reduce heat to medium low and cover.
  • Cook on medium low heat for 3-4 minutes until noodles begin to soften.
  • When the noodles are soft, remove lid and slowly add heavy whipping cream.
  • Let cook over medium low heat for 2-3 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together 1/4 cup water and 3 tablespoons cornstarch to create a slurry.
  • Slowly pour the slurry into the alfredo mixture and mix until sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and add in 1 cup of parmesan cheese. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  • Enjoy!
