Gluten Free Biscuits and Gravy

This easy gluten free biscuits and gravy recipe is rich, creamy, and so delicious! Made with homemade gluten free buttermilk biscuits and a hearty sausage gravy, it is the ultimate comfort food.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb pork sausage
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • gluten free biscuits (see below for details)

Instructions
 

  • Make gluten free biscuits. (You can find my recipe for gluten free buttermilk biscuits here.)
  • Add sausage to a medium stockpot and cook. While cooking break into small pieces. Cook until completely cooked through.
  • When sausage is completely cooked through, add butter to sausage.
  • When butter is melted, add in flour and whisk together until flour is well incorporated into the sausage.
  • Slowly add in the milk, whisking frequently until the gravy begins to thicken and reaches desired consistency.
  • When the gravy has thickened, remove from heat and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve over top of warm biscuits.
  • Enjoy!
