Easy Slow Cooker Lasagna

1 lb. ground beef (lean, 90/10) 2 tsp minced garlic 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp kosher salt ½ tsp pepper 1 tbsp Italian seasoning 1 tsp sugar 24 oz. spaghetti sauce 1 cup water 8-10 oven ready lasagna noodles Cheese Filling Ingredients 1½ cups cottage cheese 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded ¼ cup parmesan cheese, shredded 1 egg 1 tbsp parsley Topping ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded ¼ cup parmesan cheese, shredded
In a frying pan, combine ground beef and seasonings. Mix well and cook until beef is completely cooked through .
Add the spaghetti sauce and water to the cooked ground beef , stirring until fully combined. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to blend the flavors.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine all the cheese mixture ingredients and stir until smooth and well incorporated. Set aside.
Spoon half of the meat sauce into the bottom of the slow cooker , spreading it evenly.
Layer 4–5 lasagna noodles over the meat sauce, breaking them as needed to fit.
Spread half of the cheese mixture evenly over the noodles.
Repeat the layers with the remaining meat sauce, noodles, and cheese mixture.
Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours , until the noodles are tender and the sauce is bubbly.
Just before serving, sprinkle with ½ cup mozzarella cheese and ¼ cup Parmesan cheese. Cover again for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.
