These easy meatball subs are a quick, yet delicious dinner when you're short on time! They're loaded with tender meatballs in a rich marinara sauce and topped with melted cheese in a toasted bun to make the heartiest dinner in under 20 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, make beef meatballs and set aside. (Or use premade meatballs).
Place meatballs in a large frying pan and add in marinara sauce.
Cover and cook on low for 10-15 minutes until meatballs are completely cooked through.
While meatballs are cooking, cut hoagie buns in half and butter each side.
Place on a baking sheet, butter side up.
Place buns under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until buns are golden brown. Immediately remove from oven and set aside.
Spoon meatballs and sauce onto buns and generously sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Top with a tiny sprinkle of shredded parmesan cheese.
Place subs on baking sheet and broil once again for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from heat and serve.
Enjoy!
