Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sirloin steak
  • 4 cups broccoli florets (fresh)
  • 2 packages Ramen noodles
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 14.5 oz. beef broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  • Using kitchen shears, cut broccoli florets into small pieces. Set aside.
  • Slice steak into small bite sized pieces or strips cutting against the grain. Salt and pepper to taste and set aside.
  • Heat 2-3 tablespoons olive oil over medium-high heat in a skillet or frying pan.
  • Once the oil is very hot, transfer steak to skillet and sear for 1-2 minutes. Flip and cook an additional 1-2 minutes until steak is cooked to liking.
  • Remove from heat and set aside. In the same frying pan, heat 3-4 tablespoons olive oil and transfer broccoli to frying pan.
  • Sauté broccoli for a few minutes, then add in water, beef broth, seasonings, brown sugar, sesame oil and soy sauce.
  • Cover and let simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes to allow flavors to blend and broccoli to soften.
  • Add in Ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets) and cover. Cook for 3-5 minutes until noodles are soft.
  • When noodles are soft, add in steak and stir until steak is well incorporated.
  • Next, mix together water and cornstarch to create a slurry and add to broccoli beef.
  • Stir until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and serve.
  • Enjoy!
