These crisp beef and cheese taquitos are so very delicious, yet so very simple! They're perfect for a quick snack or busy weeknight meal that will please even your pickiest eater!
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F -or- prepare air fryer.
In a frying pan, add together ground beef and seasonings.
Cook ground beef until completely cooked through.
When ground beef is done, reduce heat to medium low and add in salsa. Simmer for 1-2 minutes then remove from heat.
Remove tortilla shells from the package and lay flat on the countertop.
Place a few spoonfuls of the beef mixture in the center of the flour tortilla then sprinkle with desired amount of shredded cheese.
Roll the tortilla around the beef mixture making sure to leave about 1" from the edge free. (This keeps the beef and cheese from spilling out while baking.)
Place the taquitos on a baking sheet with the seam side down so that the taquito remains closed during baking.
Repeat this process for the remaining taquitos.
Baking Directions
Bake the taquitos for 10-15 minutes until golden brown on top. When baking pay close attention to the edges. The edges will cook faster than the center and can burn quickly. If this starts to happen, place a piece of aluminum foil over the top of the taquitos and continue baking for the remainder of the time.
Air Fryer Directions
Place the taquitos in the air fryer with the seam side down. Set the temperature to 375 degrees F and cook for 5 minutes until the tops of the taquitos are golden brown.
