The Cowboys’ Rating: 10/10
Every time I make a new recipe, I have my family rate the recipe out of 10. By the time, these recipes make the blog, they’ve been tried and tested by some of my hardest tiny critics!
What Ingredients Are in Taco Burgers?
- Ground Beef – I use our delicious grass-finished beef that we raise. (You can find that here.) It’s incredibly nutrient dense and so flavorful. Our ground beef is a lean blend of 90/10. You can use any type of ground beef that you would like.
- Taco Seasoning – I always use my homemade taco seasoning recipe which is so yummy! You can also use the pre-packaged taco seasoning as well.
- Minced Garlic
- Salt
- Pepper
- Salsa – You are going to want to add a little salsa to the ground beef mixture. This helps with flavor and also moisture.
- Cheese Slices – We like to put pepper jack cheese or just regular cheddar cheese on these burgers.
- Hamburger Buns – If you have time, you can make my homemade hamburger buns which will absolutely knock these burgers out of the park!
- Toppings – Tomatoes, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, avocados, lettuce, cilantro, etc…

Tools You’ll Need
Taco Burgers Recipe
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, seasonings and salsa and mix until well combined.

- Place burgers over direct heat side of grill, flipping occasionally for an even cook. Each side will take about 5-7 minutes to cook.

Gluten Free Taco Burgers
This recipe is gluten free if you use my homemade taco seasoning blend. If you are using a taco seasoning packet, be sure to double check the ingredients to make sure they are gluten free. Also, instead of using regular hamburger buns, I use the Franz Gluten Free Hamburger Buns.
What to Serve with Taco Burgers
You really can serve these burgers with anything you would like but these are my most popular go-to sides to serve with anything Mexican. Both my Spanish rice and Corn Salsa are always a hit!
Storage
Any leftover patties can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Just reheat the patty and assemble the burgers again for leftovers.
