One Pan Chicken Parmesan

Being ranchers, I’ll be honest, we don’t eat a lot of chicken. I can maybe get my family to eat chicken a few times a month. So, when I make a chicken recipe, it has to be good. This skillet chicken parmesan recipe is one of those good chicken recipes. It’s quick, delicious, and loved by everyone.

The best part is that it all comes together in one skillet, which makes cleanup a breeze and dinner on the table fast. The chicken gets a perfectly crisp, flavorful breading, then it’s finished with warm marinara and melted cheese that everyone goes back for seconds of. It’s proof that simple ingredients can still make a standout dinner.

The Cowboys’ Rating: 8/10

Every time I make a new recipe, I have my family rate the recipe out of 10. By the time, these recipes make the blog, they’ve been tried and tested by some of my hardest tiny critics!

What Ingredients Are in Skillet Chicken Parmesan?

  • Chicken Breasts – I like to use chicken breasts for this recipe because they are cheap and fast.
  • Panko Bread Crumbs – Panko bread crumbs are lighter and flakier than regular bread crumbs, which helps create a crispier, crunchier coating that stays crunchy longer and doesn’t get soggy under sauce.
  • Egg – Dipping the chicken in egg helps the panko crumbs stick, creating a perfectly golden, crispy crust.
  • Marinara – When you’re choosing a marinara sauce (or even spaghetti sauce), make sure to choose one that has a lot of flavor – not just the plain jane basic sauce with zero flavor. Yes, you will spend a few extra dollars, but it also makes a huge difference in the flavor of your chicken parmesan.
  • Mozzarella Cheese – I love using mozzarella cheese in this recipe because it melts beautifully into a perfectly gooey, delicious layer that makes every bite so good.
  • Parmesan Cheese – I also add parmesan cheese because it brings a salty, bold flavor that makes the breading extra crispy and delicious.
