Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops Recipe

At our house, we love a good pork chop. But… have you ever had a pork chop that was dry and flavorless? Me too. I have found the way to make your pork chops moist, tender and FULL of flavor!

This parmesan crusted pork chop recipe is not only incredibly delicious but also so dang easy! It will sway even those who claim not to like pork chops, into pork chop lovers.

Now, let me tell you the trick on getting the perfect pork chop. USE A MEAT THERMOMETER. I’m sorry, I know I’m shouting. I just need you to know that this is the key here. This takes all the guessing out of whether or not your pork chop is done. Once the pork chop reaches and internal temperature of 140 degrees F, immediately take the pork chop off of the heat and set on a plate to cool. Pork goes quickly to undercooked to overcooked! By doing taking the pork chops off the heat at 140 degrees F and letting them rest, you haven’t overcooked it and it also allows the juices to be reabsorbed back into the pork chop for maximum flavor and tenderness.

What Ingredients Are in Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops?

  • Pork Chops – We actually raise our own homegrown pork that is to die for. Our pork chops are cut bone-in so that is what I always use for this recipe. Feel free to use boneless pork chops if you prefer, but I do believe that bone-in pork chops have more flavor.
  • Olive Oil
  • Egg – I dredge the pork chops in egg before coating them with my bread crumb layer. Doing this helps that bread layer adhere to the pork chop, so it doesn’t come off while cooking.
  • Italian Breadcrumbs – I love using Italian breadcrumbs because they are already seasoned breadcrumbs. This is going to be the perfect crust for the pork chops.
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese – It wouldn’t be parmesan crusted pork chops without the parmesan! I use grated parmesan cheese because it mixes in so well with the breadcrumbs and adds a nice crust to the pork chop.
  • Seasoned Salt – Seasoned salt is a mixture of herbs and seasonings combined in salt. This adds a deeper flavor to the pork chops.
  • Pepper
