Homemade Egg Noodles Recipe
Making noodles can be intimidating, but I promise, these egg noodles are super easy to make! A few years ago, we went to my parent’s house for Thanksgiving. My dad was tired of leftover turkey sandwiches and wanted to use the leftover turkey to make turkey noodle soup instead of chicken noodle soup. We didn’t want to go to the store and wanted to make something super easy, so my dad actually whipped up these egg noodles! My dad. Who is not a chef by any means. He made these noodles and everyone RAVED about them! So of course, I had my dad teach me how to make his famous egg noodles, and I have been making them ever since. I always add them to my homemade chicken noodle soup because we no longer can have regular egg noodles at my house.

How to Store Homemade Egg Noodles
These noodles can be super sticky! So, what I like to do, is let them cool completely and then store them in an airtight container in the fridge. They are good for up to 3 days. If I am adding them to a recipe, I will usually make them at the same time I am cooking dinner. Our favorite recipe to add these to is my homemade chicken noodle soup. You can find the recipe here.
Freezer Directions
Did you know that you can freeze homemade egg noodles? To freeze homemade egg noodles, I lay the noodles out on a baking sheet and place them in the freezer for about an hour. After the noodles are completely frozen, I then transfer them to a freezer bag.
When you’re ready to use them, simply take them out of the freezer bag and boil them as the directions below. They do not need to be thawed before using.
