What Ingredients Are in Ground Beef Gnocchi Alfredo?

  • Ground Beef – As always, we use our own homegrown ground beef that is grass-finished and regeneratively raised. It’s delicious, lean and so good. Our ground beef is 90/10 and I never have to drain off a bunch of fat.
  • Gnocchi Potato Pasta – My favorite noodles to use are the DeLallo Italian Ready to Use Gnocchi Noodles.
  • Minced Garlic – As always, I think any Italian dish needs a touch of garlic. Because alfredo sauce has tends to have more garlic flavor to it, I add a little extra to this ground beef gnocchi alfredo recipe.
  • Onion Powder – Onion powder adds extra flavor to the ground beef.
  • Italian Seasoning – To really give this recipe some extra flavor, I like to use a full tablespoon of Italian seasoning. Feel free to use less if you want.
  • Kosher Salt – I love kosher salt. I use it frequently in my recipes because of its flavor. Unlike regular table salt, kosher salt is not iodized and it’s very versatile. The texture is large, light flakes that don’t dissolve immediately. I feel like it gives my dishes a richer flavor.
  • Beef broth – I love using beef broth when I’m cooking to enhance the flavor of the dish.
  • Heavy Whipping Cream – The base of any alfredo sauce is heavy whipping cream. Heavy whipping cream gives the alfredo sauce a rich, creamy texture and flavor that quite be created with other forms of dairy ingredients.
  • Parmesan Cheese – Hear me out here. Grate your own parmesan cheese. I know, it’s an extra step, but fresh parmesan will take your alfredo sauce to the NEXT level. It’s so much better.
  • Butter – Everything in life is better with butter.
  • Pepper
  • Cornstarch – This recipe needs a thickener, so I use a cornstarch slurry for this. It works well to thicken the alfredo sauce without making it lumpy.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat the leftovers, spoon the desired amount in a bowl in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. When it’s warm, you’ll notice that the oils have separated from the cheese. This is normal because it’s a homemade sauce. Simply give a quick and rigorous stir and the sauce will mix together beautifully once again.
