What Ingredients Are in Gluten Free Biscuits and Gravy?
- Sausage – We raise our own pasture-raised pork, so we use a mild homemade sausage blend. Any flavor of your choice will do.
- Gluten Free Biscuits – As far as I know, you can’t just buy a premade gluten free biscuit at the store, so you are going to want to make my homemade gluten free buttermilk biscuits. You can find that recipe here.
- Milk -Whole milk is the best option for white gravy. The added fat gives it a better flavor.
- Butter – I like to use salted butter.
- Gluten Free Flour – My favorite gluten free flour is Cup4Cup GF flour or Bob’s Redmill GF flour.
- Salt
- Pepper

- When the gravy has thickened, remove from heat and salt and pepper to taste.

Storage
I store the gluten free biscuits in a Ziploc bag in the fridge and the gravy in its own airtight container in the refrigerator. It is good for up to 3 days. This is a great quick breakfast option that can easily be reheated in the microwave!
Remember that gluten free is a little different than traditional recipes. You will want to reheat the gluten free biscuits for 10-15 seconds in the microwave before eating. If not, even if they are at room temperature, they will be dry. Sadly, that’s just how gluten free can be.
I like to reheat the gravy and the biscuits separately so that I don’t overcook one or the other.
