Cheeseburger Biscuit Bombs Recipe

Most of you probably haven’t heard of cheeseburger biscuit bombs, but let me tell you, they are so yummy! I used to have my own meal plan where I would create 20 new recipes each month for my meal plan subscribers. I absolutely love creating new recipes! Well, one day, I wanted to make some calzones. However, I didn’t have time to make homemade dough and the only thing I had in my fridge was biscuit dough. I decided to try it out and make a biscuit bomb cheeseburger style.

Long story short, my family loved it and so did my meal plan subscribers. I’ve since made a few versions of biscuit bombs – those recipes should be coming to the blog soon!

These cheeseburger biscuit bombs are super easy! With just a few simple ingredients, you can make some humble ground beef and biscuits the star of dinner. Here’s how I do it…

The Cowboys’ Rating: 9/10

Every time I make a new recipe, I have my family rate the recipe out of 10. By the time, these recipes make the blog, they’ve been tried and tested by some of my hardest tiny critics!

What Ingredients Are in Cheeseburger Biscuit Bombs?

  • Ground Beef – As always, we use our own homegrown ground beef that is grass-finished and regeneratively raised. It’s delicious, lean and so good. Our ground beef is 90/10 and I never have to drain off a bunch of fat.
  • Minced Garlic – I added some minced garlic to really bring in some subtle sweetness and flavor to these cheeseburger biscuit bombs.
  • Onion Powder – Most everyone loves onions on their cheeseburger – unless you are in my family. We are a family of onion haters, so instead, I always add onion powder to my recipes. Adding in onion powder also really helps to bring in some added flavor instead of just being bland.
  • Kosher Salt – I love the flavor of kosher salt. It has a stronger flavor with less of a bitter taste so I use it frequently in my recipes.
  • Worcestershire Sauce – By now you should know that I love some Worcestershire sauce! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, is so good at making ground beef taste beefier. I know, it sounds weird, but it really enhances the beef flavor in ground beef.
  • Pepper
  • Pilsbury Grands Southern Homestyle Biscuit Dough – I have used a few different versions of biscuit dough, and this is the dough I like best for this recipe.
  • Crumbled Bacon – Just like everything in life, bacon makes things better. I buy the prepackaged crumbled bacon pieces and add it to these cheeseburger biscuit bombs.
  • Cheddar Cheese – This is really personal preference. My husband loves pepper jack cheese, but my kids do not, so I have used both cheddar cheese and pepper jack cheese for this recipe. Use whatever works for you. I buy the brick cheese and shred my own cheese because it melts better and has better flavor.

How to Store Cheeseburger Biscuit Bombs

I store these in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. They can easily be microwaved, but for best results, I have found that popping them in the air fryer or back in the oven for a few minutes is better. This makes your cheeseburger biscuit bombs crisp and not soggy.
