Gnocchi and Ground Beef Recipe

This recipe was created completely out of desperation and lack of time during dinner time one night. (I’m sure no one can relate to that huh? 😉 After a particularly long day on the ranch, we all came home tired and hungry, and I hadn’t planned anything for dinner that night. After scavenging the cupboards, the only thing I could come up with that I knew would be on the table in less than 30 minutes was a package of ground beef and some gnocchi pasta. I’m convinced that some of the greatest things are created out of desperation and while under pressure. Nevertheless, this recipe was a huge hit with my family and has now been added to the meal plan.

This easy ground beef gnocchi is made with ground beef, gnocchi pasta, diced tomatoes, cream cheese and parmesan cheese to give a variety of flavors that blend so well together. It’s made in one pan so clean up is quick and easy! I serve it with a side salad or some steamed veggies and rolls to make it seem like a fancy feast rather than a quick pantry throw together meal.

What Ingredients Are in Ground Beef Gnocchi?

  • Ground Beef – As always, we use our own homegrown ground beef that is grass-finished and regeneratively raised. It’s delicious, lean and so good. Our ground beef is 90/10 and I never have to drain off a bunch of fat.
  • Gnocchi Pasta – There are many different brands of gnocchi pasta. I have tried a variety of them, and they all are work just fine for this recipe. If you are looking to make this recipe gluten free, this is the brand of gluten free gnocchi pasta that I have used.
  • Diced Tomatoes – This adds some flavor and texture to the meal.
  • Beef Broth – I like to use beef broth instead of water in my recipes to bring in some extra flavor.
  • Cream Cheese – I love to add cream cheese to recipes with tomatoes. It cuts the acidity but also enhances the richness of the other ingredients.
  • Parmesan Cheese

Seasonings
