Every time I make a new recipe, I have my family rate the recipe out of 10. By the time, these recipes make the blog, they’ve been tried and tested by some of my hardest tiny critics!
What Ingredients are in Oatmeal Peanut Butter Protein Balls?
- Old-Fashioned Oats – I’ve tried a lot of different oats on my quest to make this recipe, and I found that old-fashioned oats are the best. To make this recipe gluten free, keep scrolling to find out how!
- Raw Honey – I love raw honey. It’s the best natural sweetener. Raw honey is rich in antioxidants, natural enzymes, and antibacterial properties that support gut health, immunity, and overall wellness. Because it’s minimally processed, it retains more nutrients than regular honey and provides a natural, sustained source of energy when used in moderation.
- Vanilla – I prefer to use pure vanilla rather than vanilla extract. It has a richer flavor rather than the flavor you get with vanilla extract.
- Peanut Butter – You can use any peanut butter you want. I use Jif peanut butter because that is what I have on hand and what my kids eat, they refuse to eat the natural stuff, so use whatever is your preference.
- Vanilla Protein Powder – I’ve tested this recipe with several different protein powders, and they all work great, so feel free to use your favorite.
- Rice Krispie Cereal – To add a little extra crunch, I like to add just a little bit of rice Krispie cereal.
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips – These chocolate chips give the perfect amount of sweetness without it being too overpowering.
