Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork Recipe
This slow cooker BBQ pulled pork recipe is a staple at our house. It’s one of those recipes that you can have any time of the year, and it hits just right every time. I also love how easy it is to make! This recipe is one that you just toss in the slow cooker in the morning and forget about during the day. It has very little prep work yet yields big results.
This BBQ pulled pork recipe is actually one of my husband’s favorites. He served a church mission in Virginia many years ago where BBQ was very popular. I love that this recipe reminds him of Virginia and the time he spent there. Sometimes I will make this recipe with my homemade coleslaw to go over top of it and it’s even better. So, if you have some time and you want to make some delicious, easy creamy coleslaw, you can find that recipe here.

What Ingredients Are in Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork?
- Pork Roast – I love a pork roast that is BONE-IN, because the bone gives it more flavor. However, if you don’t use a bone-in roast, that is just fine. I like to choose a roast that is around 3-4 lbs. for this recipe.
- Water – You want to make sure the roast doesn’t dry out while cooking so adding just a tiny amount of water will help this.
- Chicken Bouillion Cubes – I like to use a few chicken Bouillion cubes because I think it gives the pork roast a better flavor than just water or chicken broth.
- Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce – You do not have to use this brand of BBQ sauce, but it is the brand that I like the best. I love the flavor. It is also gluten free so that helps my gluten free friends.
- Hoagie Rolls – My family loves a good hoagie roll and it’s so quick to just grab a package of hoagie rolls at the store, but you can use whatever roll you would like.
