Golden Graham Cereal Bars Recipe
My husband LOVES golden grahams. Every night before bed he has a bowl of golden graham cereal. Really, it’s kind of unfair because if I did that, I would have three double chins, but that’s beside the point here.
Anyway, this summer has been busy, busy for us. We were headed for another long weekend of ranching, and I felt like we needed a sweet treat to take with us, so, I decided to try my hand at making a cereal bar treat. These were so simple to whip together, and the big cowboy and little cowboys raved about them. Needless to say, they were a hit, and I they even gave me a score of 10/10.
The Cowboys’ Rating: 10/10
Every time I make a new recipe, I have my family rate the recipe out of 10. By the time, these recipes make the blog, they’ve been tried and tested by some of my hardest tiny critics!
What Ingredients are in Golden Graham Cereal Bars?
- Golden Graham Cereal – obviously right? You can use any brand of golden graham cereal. I used the Malt O’Meal brand and it was great.
- Marshmallows – This is what is going to hold everything together. Just like a Rice Krispie treat.
- Butter – I always use salted butter unless otherwise instructed.
- Vanilla – I like to use pure vanilla rather than vanilla extract. You can find the one that I use here.

Tools You’ll Need
- Large Stock Pot
- Measuring Cups & Spoons
- Parchment Paper
- Heat Resistant Spatula
- 10×10 Baking Dish or 9×13″ Baking Dish
How to Make Golden Graham Cereal Bars
- Prepare baking dish by placing parchment paper in desired baking dish. (tip – get your parchment paper wet! Once it’s wet, ring out any water and unfold it again. Place the damp parchment paper in the bottom of the baking dish. This will make it easy to form to the baking dish!)
- In a large stock pot, melt butter over low heat.
- When butter is melted, add in marshmallows. Continue cooking until marshmallows have melted, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
- When marshmallows are fully melted, remove from heat and add vanilla. Stir until vanilla is well incorporated.
- Fold in golden graham cereal, mixing until all cereal has been well coated with marshmallows.
- Add in mini marshmallows and stir until just incorporated.
- Gently spoon cereal mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with more mini marshmallows if desired.
- Let cool, then cut into squares and enjoy!

Storage
Storage for these golden graham bars is easy. I store them in an airtight container for up to 7 days. Obviously, the sooner they’re eaten, the better!
