Stir Fry Using Ground Beef

Every now and then, I like to make dinner using the method I lovingly refer to as, empty out the fridge. I usually have 1-2 remaining carrots, a few vegetables that need to be used before going bad, and some ground beef that I’ve taken out of the freezer but haven’t yet used for dinner. So, when this happens, I like to make this incredibly easy and absolutely underrated ground beef stir fry. Every time I make it, I think, I should make this more often. It’s just easy and so good.

The Cowboys’ Rating: 9/10

Every time I make a new recipe, I have my family rate the recipe out of 10. By the time, these recipes make the blog, they’ve been tried and tested by some of my hardest tiny critics!

What Ingredients Are in Ground Beef Stir Fry?

  • Ground Beef – We use our homegrown ground beef that is a lean blend of 90/10. It’s incredibly delicious and I never have to drain off any fat. You can find that here if you’re in the market for some regeneratively raised beef.
  • Vegetables – This is stir fry, which means, you can use whatever vegetables you want to throw in. These are the vegetables that I usually throw in our stir-fry:
    • Mushrooms
    • Peppers
    • Carrots
    • Broccoli
  • Coconut Rice – Friends, PLEASE serve this ground beef stir fry over coconut rice. Your taste buds will thank you and you will be addicted. Plus, it is so easy to make a batch of coconut rice! I have a recipe for you here.

Storage and Reheating

Storage:
Allow the ground beef stir fry to cool completely before storing. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days. For best results, store the stir fry separately from rice or noodles if serving with them.

Reheating:
Reheat in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally. You can also reheat in the microwave in 30–45 second intervals, stirring between each, until hot. Add a splash of water if needed to refresh the texture.

Gluten Free Ground Beef Stir Fry

Let’s talk gluten free here! This recipe can easily be adapted to make it gluten free. The coconut rice is gluten free so the adjustment would be with the sauce. Soy sauce contains wheat which contains gluten, therefore, you would need to find a gluten-free soy sauce. This would make this recipe completely gluten free! Below is the link to a gluten free soy sauce that I use frequently.
